Warner Music har gjort ett avtal om distribution med BMG om de senares skivkatalog. Avtalet innebär bland annat titlar från Sanctua
ry, Mute och Rise Records.
Distributionen kommer att ske via Warners labelservice ADA. Vissa frontlinetitlar kommer dock i Sverige även i fortsättningen att gå via Sony Music. Det är Music Business Worldwide som avslöjar nyheten efter att sajten fått ta del av interna memos hos de två bolagen.
BMG:s Max Dressendörfer skriver i ett internt mail: “The rapid pace of our growth in the past three years has led to our inheriting or acquiring more than 50 digital and physical distribution relationships around the world. This will now gradually fall to a handful as we consolidate with a small number of suppliers.”
Warners VD Steve Cooper skriver: “When BMG set out to identify a global distribution partner, they could have picked anyone. Needless to say, we are very happy that they chose WMG and ADA.”
