I natt hölls årets Video Music Awards på Madison Square Garden i New York. Priset har inte sin gam
la lyskraft sedan MTV ändrade format. Men faktumet att Beyoncé tog hem 8 priser har inte missats i musikmedier på måndagen.
Beyoncé passerade med sina många priser Madonna och har nu vunnit flest VMA:s genom tiderna. Det fanns en del Sverigekopplingar i nomineringarna. Bland annat var Johan Renck och Christer Forsberg nominerade för videon till David Bowies Lazarus, men eftersom Beyoncé svepte i princip rent på prisbordet blev det inga blågula vinnare.
Apropå Sverige-kopplingar så gjorde Britney Spears bejublad comeback inklusive framträdande tillsammans med rapparen G-Eazy.
