Polaris Nordic har undertecknat ett Letter of Intent med svenska ICE (International Copyright Enterprise Services AB) som signalerar att Polaris Nordic har för avsikt att teckna ett femårigt avtal. Enligt avtalet kommer ICE, med start i slutet av 2015, att leverera copyright-tjänster till konstellationens tre nordiska organisationer.
I syfte att på att kostnadseffektivt sätt stärka verksamheten bildade de tre nordiska upphovsrättsliga intresseorganisationerna Koda (Danmark), TONO (Norge) och Teosto (Finland) i våras gemensamt konstellationen Polaris Nordic.
Baserat på sitt moderna datasystem och sin multiterritoriella lösning kommer ICE att om ett par år hantera såväl Polaris Nordics inhemska som internationella repertoar. Arbetet med att flytta över repertoaren till ICE kommer att påbörjas nästa år då Polaris Nordic kommer att ha avslutat sin egen övergång till ett gemensamt backoffice.
Avtalet säkrar en stark leverans av tjänster inom ramen för ett Service Level Agreement och möjliggör tillgång till en bredare repertoar från ICE andra kunder samt en bredare publik för Polaris Nordics egen repertoar.
I ett gemensamt pressmeddelande kommenterar de tre nordiska organisationerna samt ICE.s svenske vd Carsten Drachmann avtalet så här:
– Our authors and publishers have an expectation that we continuously strive to distribute as much to them as we can possibly do. We see cost reduction as the way in which we can differentiate ourselves and therefore we strongly believe that ICE will be one of the elements to achieve this, kommenterar Cato Ström, vd TONO.
